Natural foot scrubs from Asia

Kemiri nut foot scrub
This honey milk cleansing lotion is famous in Asia for its effectiveness.
- 10 pieces kemiri nut (candlenut)
- 3 tbsp honey
- 4 tbsp water
Preparation – step -1:
Blend kemiri nut and water for two minutes. using a fine mesh cheesecloth strain the milk from the meat. Save the meat for the Kemiri nut scrub and two tablespoons of the milk for the flower mask. Add the honey to the milk and mix well. This is now ready to use.
Kemiri Nut Scrub Step-2
Lemon Grass Infusion: (For Kemiri Nut Scrub). Ingredients include :
- 250 gms (1/2 lb) lemon grass
- 250 gms (2 cups) boiling water
Pour the boiling water over the lemon grass. Cover the container and let it stand for 20 minutes until the liquid has cooled down. Strain.
Kemiri Nut Scrub – step 3:
- Saved kemiri nut meat from step -1.
- 500 gms (2 cups) Lemon Grass Infusion, from step – 2
Use the nut meat already prepared for the cleansing lotion and mix it with enough of the lemon grass infusion to make a moist paste that can be sensually rubbed into your feet. Your kemiri nut foot scrub is ready to use.
- 5 tbsp kaolin powder
- 2 tbsp kemiri nut milk
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground cloves
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- handfull pandarus leaves, hibiscus, frangipani or other delicate flowers such as rose finely chopped
- 5 drops lavender essential oil
Mix all of these ingredients together into a paste that is dry but workable. The more kaolin used the faster the mask will dry and the cooler it will feel on your feet.
Beach sand foot scrub
How to remove hard skin from your feet ? One of the most effective exfoliants for hard skin that develops on the soles of the feet is sand. Collect some ordinary beach sand on your next visit to a tropical spa and mix it with enough olive or sesame oil to make a sticky paste. Add a few drops of peppermint or rosemary essential oil to complete the invigorating experience. Massage your feet concentrating on the heels, the balls and the big toes where skin is usually hardest.
